Dante Alighieri was a great Italian poet and the author of The Divine Comedy. He became a philosopher and political opponent of Pope Boniface VIII and was banished from Florence Italy. The Divine Comedy was written while he was in exile. This bust has been in a private, non-smoking home.
This lovely bronze statue measures 9 1/2" tall and has a marble base that measures 3 3/4" in diameter. The statue depicts a young girl feeding a duck. The fine detail is definitely something to marvel at as there is such care in making sure that every detail in the statue is perfect. A great conversation piece to have on your mantle or on your favorite shelf in your home.
